Problems with Quote Editor

Hi — there are some problems with the quote editor. I’m working on it. My apologies for the problems. In the meantime, you can hang out in the chat.

UPDATE: 7:45 PM EDT - I figured out the problem. It had to do with Internet Explorer not passing the quote through to be added properly. Please try now!

New Quote Editor

Hello Witty Profilers. I upgraded the ‘add a quote’ editor tonight. It has some more fonts, a better color picker and will hopefully produce quotes that look the way you expect. Coming soon: preview quotes before you actually submit them.

Reporting Bad Quotes

Hi everyone! We all see quotes that don’t follow the rules and clutter up Witty Profiles with junk. Witty Profiles is a place to share quotes that other people would want to put in their profiles. Witty Profiles isn’t a contest to see who can get the highest rated quote. Starting now you can click the “report this quote” link under quotes that don’t follow the rules and I (and other moderators) will be notified. If the quote should be removed we will remove it.

Back to Normal

Hi folks. I think Witty Profiles is pretty much back to normal now after our web server crashed on Sunday. Again, my apologies for the downtime. Things took a little longer to come back up than I expected. Thanks for being so patient! Nowm go make soe quotes!

Hang on! My ancient web server crashed for the final time today. I am in the process of moving Witty Profiles to a new web server. :( Sorry. Things should be back to near normal sometime in the next 24 hours. So sorry! I know Sunday is a popular day to be on Witty Profiles. Steve

Searching for People on WittyProfiles.com

Hi friends. I am adding a little feature to the search to search for members’ usernames. But I am wondering how you will search for other members; do you know their whole name? What would you enter into the search box? Examples would help me out. Thanks!
