Hello Friends. I am trying something new with WittyProfiles.com this week. Do not be alarmed if quotes and rating boxes disappear and reappear and if things look messed up today. I’m still working on some stuff. Hang in there. Everything should be back to normal by tonight (Wednesday).

2 years agoHi Folks, It looks like something is wrong with the voting system right now. It still appears to be recording votes, but the quotes are not getting updated with the vote totals for some reason. I’m looking into it and it should be fixed by tomorrow. Sorry!

There has been a HUGE increase in activity on WittyProfiles.com over the holiday break. I’ve seen that thousands of comments are being left on profiles. That’s great! But that also means that thousands of ‘new comment’ notification emails are getting sent. How many notification emails are too many? Are they annoying? How else should I notify people that they have a new comment (or 1000 new comments)?

Hello my Witty Friends. Just a quick update today. I added ‘top 90 days’ and ‘top 365 days’ at the top of the hot quotes and category sections. Now you can see the hottest quote in the last year overall and in each category. What is the hottest love quote in the last 365 days? Find out!

3 years agoHi Friends. This week I did some stuff to Witty Profiles that will hopefully make it load faster. What I did is boring and technical, but if you really want to know, I doubled the memory in the web server and implemented memcached in a few places. Enjoy your faster page loads!
