So I think I finally discovered and fixed the problem of the slowness on Witty Profiles. It turns out one of the the database tables was missing an important index. We’ll see how the site performs under a heavy load tonight. Keep your fingers crossed. So what am I working on now? First on the list is duplicate quote detection. Speed!

Sorry for the slowness of Witty Profiles lately. I’m looking into it and adding some more caching of static-ish data. I think it may be due to the spam filter that comment notifications go through.
